Admission requirements
The doctorate programme will be integrated into Doctorate School of the Universities of Vigo and Coruña (http://www.xunta.es/dog/Publicados/2013/20130626/AnuncioG0164-180613- 0002_es.html).It is specially oriented to those who have passed the following Bachelor's Degrees closely related to Experimental Sciences, Sanitary Sciences or Life Sciences: Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science and Technology, Pharmacology, Medicine, Veterinary Science, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Environmental Sciences, Marine Sciences, Chemical Engineering or Agronomic Engineering and completed a Master in related fields which can constitute a suitable basis to gain admittance to Doctorate studies in the field of Biotecnology. The Academic Comission of the Doctorate Programme could take into consideration new degrees, not considered in the RUCT but can be included in a near future, similar degrees to those previously described.
In this proposal, there are no access requirements apart from those derived from the maximum of students that can access every year to the Programme and those established for Doctorate Studies by the current legislation.
These are the admission requirements for the Doctorate Programme:

b) Have an Spanish Bachelor's Degree whose duration is at least 300 ECTS as stated in common EU law. In this case, students should take Basic Academic Requirements mentioned below, except those whose Bachelor's Degree include research training equivalent to that included in the Master Studies.
c) Those who have a Bachelor's Degree and have gained a Sanitary specialized training position, and pass at least two years of a programme with good marks.
d) Have a Degree obtained in a foreign educational system, without the need for homologation, with prior verification by the university that the level is equivalent to that of Spanish Master Degree and give access to Doctoral Programmes in the country of origin.
e) Have an Spanish PhD obtained under previous regulations of the university.
3.- PhD students who have already begun a Doctorate Programme under previous regulations, could accede to Doctorate studies, prior admission. Anyway, they should meet the general requirements to accede to Doctorate studies.
